jimmyrcom: nope, still flash Flash Sorenson. You can make them "high quality" by uploading a flv generated with total video converter due to a bug in the video processor, but it screws up the time. You can only upload under a min and the playback is chalky with a high bitrate. Youtube plans to add high quality in the future though

The iPod Nano is not available in 32GB. The ZEN has a 16.7 million color screen, iPod only 90,000 colors. ZEN supports WMV, WAV, DivX/Xvid, Avi & MPEG. iPod supports only mp4.

Ghakimx: Forgot to tell ya, if you actually finish watching a video in youtube,(i think it also works on Gametrailers too)the video is downloading into your CPU inso temporary internet files. You should use Large Files to search for it.
jimmyrcom: the dvd file type is a super old type actually associated to dos file drivers. to say they convert to dvd sounded ridiculous. VOB is the standard dvd file.

MikeCamel: also another way to convert is to download realplayer, when it is downloaded, go to a youtube video and hover over the video, a link will pop up tat u can download the video. then download "any video converter", after it is downloaded, you can convert the realplayer video and there you go!

Note, however, that YouTube now recommends uploading at 640x480 (not 320x240). So, I assume they have a new converter that works better with VGA input than QVGA....
jimmyrcom: Youtube does not and has never recommended 640 x 480. They say you should capture at 640 x 480 at LEAST, then re-encode to 320 x 240.
IcelandicBunny: Sorry, but your "correction" is incorrect. Just browse Help, Uploading Videos to YouTube, What's The Best Format To Upload... and it says "We recommend the following settings: 640x480 resolution (* most updated recommendation)".

jimmyrcom: youtube vids are in 320 x 240 format. not 640 x 480, they only say don't capture from camera in 320 x 240 because that's too friggin small a resolution. you should still resize and probably sharpen

Maybe it has something to do with Steve Chen confirming in November that higher-resolution YouTube downloads will become available in February...

yotubevid: the easiest and fastest, is if u just download WM converter, user friendly interface, tons of converters in one. REALLY FAST. jimmy's ways are great, but check out WM converter
bizzyb0t: If you use Firefox, I highly recommend the UnPlug add-on for ripping media off of sites. It's really, good works well with DownThemAll, etc. It also is able to hand it off to VLC for a stream capture however, YMMV.

noimus13: no yours is soo nice, what do you mean bitrate. btw do you upload your vids as AVI or WMV after you edit them with VirtualDub?
jimmyrcom: bitrate is the quality. you can specify it in the codec options. virtualdub can only save as avi. youtube prefers xvid or divx anyways, not windows media codecs. Just a note, if you're attaching multiple videos, you might want to clip the last few frames otherwise the audio shifts a little on each attachment.
