jimmyrcom: neither does the blurred resized screencapture picture. people associate screen caps with super blurred videos narrated by 12 year olds using notepad. Better a vivid picture of a squirrel than a dull blurred picture showing nothing.

pimpsahoy1594: i noticed that your "shit.avi" has a different icon than normal *.avi files have. what icon package do you use and where do you get it?
jimmyrcom: yeah. nimo / xp codec pack or kazaa lite codec pack are all horribly outdated but I'm not too into codec packs. Codec packs give a bunch of unnecessary stuff though and it'll take people with slow connections longer if I recommend it.

jimmyrcom: XD I've unlocked the algorithm for the location of all 3 frames. People complain a lot when I add all three though especially for short videos.

jimmyrcom: ffdshow is a codec, sony vegas is a video editor like adobe premier or virtualdub. Can't compare the two.

jimmyrcom: standard tv aspect ratio is 4:3. Read the manual on your camera or convert it with video editing software.

every time i turn the monitor on a message comes up sayin, "for best picture quality, change settings to 1440*900"

jimmyrcom: Don't use my settings use whatever looks best to you and depending on the video. Aspect ratio doesn't crop anything it resizes it to that ratio.

yotufreaka: First of all, go to start->programs->ffdshow->audio/video decoder configuration and select codecs tab, and select libavcodec for all of them. Hope it helps!
ElectricGuitarRocker: this ffdshow pissed me off for 3 months it was coming up on movie maker not allowing me to make movies it would just exit...but one day I went to the control panel and found a codec program and removed it and it was ffdshow and I was happy cause now I can make movies again I hate ffdshow!!!!
