They use anti-aliasing mpeg layer 3 compression that will distort the pitch. Try the flash program directly, it uses raw wav files. |

joshuaspetter: I'm 28. I've been rocking loud headphones since I was 12 or 13, using my old walkman while I cut the grass with a loud lawnmower. Now I rock my iPod loud as hell. I can barely hear 16000 when I listen on my Bose speakers but I can hear the 17000 if I have headphones on.

1mpr0v: 15, 22000. i can't hear the low ones though.
Kateycoo: I'm 16 years old and I can only hear up to 17,000. can't hear the low ones whatsoever

kewlbeanspx: Cool test. Age 27, and I couldn't hear 15, 20, 50, 1600, and 1700. I heard everything else just fine though.
downhill240: I'm 67 . 9000 in the right ear nothing in the left even at 8000. maybe I need hearing aids?
queendawlfayce: This was an interesting test. I'm fourteen, and the only one that I couldn't hear was 50 Hz. I guess that I must have pretty good hearing.
Hirnlego999: Well not all speakers/headphones can create such low frequencies.
SignorSincero: Hi. I'm Sincero. I'm 27. I can hear from 8,000 - 16,000 Hz. I don't think I can hear 17,000, just when it clicks in and out. What? Come closer... Yep. Rock concerts and playing in a band as a young lad were not good for the old ears. Cheers! Nice vid. % stars!
HailToTheThief9: I'm 15 and do not hear any low frequencies. Up to 19000 for me.
soccerkills: hi I am 19 I could hear every one of those including the 50 hz

Meliethel: Age: 19.45ish.
Sex: Male.
Highest frequency heard: 18KHz.
Actually, at first, I thought I couldn't hear 17KHz, but after some experimenting with various ears and putting on headphones with sound going to avoid the 'CLICK' sound, I could definitely hear up to 18KHz.
My cat wasn't too thrilled about all of this, though. Especially at the volumes it was played at. He's busy getting sweet revenge now...clawing my chest.
IceGuy765: im 19 and i can here the 22000HZ no problem. Im always blasting music, i work for a dj company and go to clubs all the time so im always surrounded by very loud music.
Very surpised i was able to hear it....maybe im doing something wrong, im using headphones at a normal volume....
Roachji: Nearly 18; I can hear 22000 Hz. The only one I couldnt hear was the Low Frequencies 15 hz.
toodumbforuni: 15000 -- 18 =( lol makes me sad
Mattps22004: I'm 16 and I can hear the 17000 Hz one.
japanaiir: i'm 23 and could hear all of them fine except for 16khz which i thought was odd. any reason for this?
legendarysim: I can hear 22,000hz but that comes up in the bassdrum....
corvuscanis: I'm 27 and I could hear them all unfortunately. I tried speakers and headphones both at l/4 volume, and for the record I hate dog whistles.
thelmle00: yeah, same thing for me at 16,000. any reason?
da8ball: 29 - Male
Low Freq - I only heard 50 Hz
High Freq - till 17000 Hz
crux84: think about 17000 with low volume (about 5%) at age of 21, tested both with speakers first then with headphones... with more volume it was no problem to hear all of them.
higher sounds just make my head pulsating.
i think sounds (>17000) at low volume i wouldnt
really recognise in my surrounding, cause of sitting the whole day in front of my computer, with a crt monitor and a lot of fans and motors in my computer.
student, male...
penguincutie85: I can hear about 18000, but any higher makes my head hurt really bad,,,and for the other ones i can hear all of them
jasonleebaker: male
28
Can hear up to 16000 then stop
can also hear 20000 but not any others above 16000
ponybcurtis: Male 34. I can hear from 50 to 17000. I have some pretty crappy headphones so I'm not sur ef that skewed the results. I'll try some other ones adn let you know.
groupieschlumpf: strange. I am 27 female and I cannot hear any of the low frequencies but all of the high ones up to 22000 hz. Is that normal ?
jimmyrcom: yeah, the low ones usually have some speaker limitation unless you have massive bass enabled.
Riverama: talk about weird.. I'm 32 and can hear every freq. except 16K..
WaterVsAnchor: Im 22 year old male. Can't hear 15hz and 20hz, but can hear 50hz. Can hear 8000-14000, but can't hear 15000-20000. I can hear both 21000 and 22000.

barhoom18: we can use it as a mobile phone ringtone in school ;)
our teacher wont hear it ^_^
heyxluno: I'm fifteen and I could hear 18000 barely.
saroskazuma: 17 Year old Male.
I can hear up to 19000, then 20000 I can't hear, but I have a really uncomfortable feeling in my Ear, which hurts after a few seconds.
The lowest I could hear was 20 hz.
I have a tinnitus (high-pitched ear sound) since 2 or so years now, and I am kind of amazed that I'm still able to hear such high frequencies.
(I didn't turn up my speaker's volume too much, since it would just hurt my ears :P)
saroskazuma: Just tested 21'000 and 22'000 too, same as with 20'000, but just very faint, still I get an uncomfortable feeling in my ears when listening to these two
jimmyrcom: does the tinnitus pitch ever change? can you use it for perfect pitch?
saroskazuma: As far as I can recall, the pitch stayed the same since I have it. Sometimes it's louder than usual, depending on mood/tiredness.
Never tried it, but the tinnitus doesn't really help me as a reference when hearing notes.
jimmyrcom: maybe that's a blessing in a way, if you're a musician and get perfect relative pitch you have perfect pitch also. it's a really rare and impressive skill to have.
DieByWolf: 16 and i can hear up to 20000 Hz
tshack88: 19, cut off pretty much completely at 18000, but then i could hear 21, and 22000 for some reason
bifret: 15 and struggled to hear past 15 without turning up the volume but when did i got up to 21
JesseSpohn: 18 year old male. I couldn't hear anything 18 and up, until I turned up my speakers a little. After that I could hear all of them, but 16000 Hz to 18000 Hz is harder to hear.
golumstoe: Age: 15
Frequences: All high, up to 20hz for low
SabCY: well... i could hear every of those freqenzes. maybe this has something to do with the earphones i was using?
btw: i'm 20/f
johnnysmith1971: 22 year old male - I can hear up to 17,000. Whats strange is that I can't really hear 18k at all, but when I move my head from side to side, I can kinda hear it.
AiDeNandMyCHEM: 18: I can hear all high and 15 Hz low...
bettazrkool: 18 I could hear all high but only 50 for low
spacewind: AGe 15: i can her all frequencies up to 22, same with mu brother

The0neTheyCaLLg0d: 8000 nearly made my ears bleed. Probably got a blood clot in my brain now.
portalnuk: I can hear all of them, I'm 14
BigMac8000: I KNEW I HAD BAD HEARING!
I got up to 1300, was like yeah, doing good.
1400 was blank and I was like... I knew it. KNEW IT.
I also could only hear the 50hz, everything else is blank.
21/M
The ridiculous thing is that before I took this test I was like, I knew I was gonna bomb. I often have issues understanding people when they speak and have to have them repeat themselves. So I figured I'd do poorly but I love tests that are so definitive! Thank you for this.
BigMac8000: I just looked at my last post and realized how unclear I was because I decided to rant instead...
I could hear the 50hz on the low, and from 8000-13000 hz, but nothing else.
mickdaman: I could hear 20 & 50hz , but not 15. I could hear up to 16k but not higher. I used a pair of good quality headphones. 35 male (I'm a musician). I went to an audiologist a few years ago and got proper in-ear protection. I have tinnitus and some hearing-loss but apparently it's not noise-related (in my case). Nice program, by the way.
thicknerd: i could hear all of them from 15-22000
fiddlestix2006: I can't believe it, as I am 52 years old and can hear them all with no problem???? But my eyesight is failing me terribly, and I've always heard when one of your senses fail, the others become more alert. U are soooo smart and u sound like such a nice young man and your videos are so helpful. Thanks ss much for taking the time to teach us so many new things. :)
WhyMe160: Kewl im 16 and i can hear 20000 Hz.

WildPoopDude: I'm 16 and I can hear up to 15000Hz to 16000Hz about. Damn. I guess I'm going to be a little deaf when I'm old xD
wotsfreek: I'm 14 and I can hear 17000-18000
indoforum: i can hear all of them, I'm 30
Pazma1: I'm 25 and I can just about hear 19000Hz after that I get nothing.
alexcwagner: Age 36, 17,000 Hz. I could hear something at 18,000, but it sounded lower than I expected, so I figure it was probably some unintended overtone or audio artifact.
pkcwan: 16/m and i can clearly hear 20000hz..but when i get to 21000..nothing comes out lol
im using headset
the 50hz sounds like the bass from some pimped up cars lol!
pkcwan: oh forgot to tell u that i rarly listen to LOUD music..
pkcwan: wow!!! i just tried it again.
and i can hear 21000hz (which is a really sharp sound) and 22000hz (which sounds like a buzzer of a really old house)

Darkespio: I'm 17 and I got up to 19000 HZ
yatagarasean: i'm 16 and i can only hear up to 19000 Hz
jonalfredp13: I'm 17 and I can hear 16000 but just barely. Damn concerts and mp3 players!
lizafreak: I can definitley hear 'till 19000 Hz, I'm 14, I'm not sure if I can hear the sounds higher or if I'm imagining it.
tangananmo1: 19, i can't hear 16k-18k Hz but i can hear 19k-22k Hz,, weird huh
A7XChaos: Apparently I can hear up to 19kHz, but I can also hear 22kHz? lol... And I'm 15... too many concerts and loud music... note to self: buy earplugs
TokyoBomb: 17 and i can hear all the way up to 22000
i tried it with my computer speakers..and some headphones and then some ear buds...and now i have a headache.
bangbang5556: im 13 and i can hear everything but 18000
hawki92: i am 13 and i can hear up to 2100hz
but 8000 hurts to listen to
vinnieolle: uhh thats weird...
Im almost 16 and i only hear around 15-16 depending on how i i turn up the volume. I dont listen to much music either lol. weird.
shufflefin: I'm in my 40's and even with my hearing aids on full i can't hear a single one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
jernov: Haha, you're 20 years old, so 17000 is perfectly normal, i'm 20 years old as well and i got the same result. can't hear 18000 and above.
defleppard189: im 18 and I can hear up to 19000 Hz
jernov: age of 20. i can hear upto 17000.
couldn't hear 18000 anymore, just like the website average stated.
llod206: My ears popped on some of these. lol. cool tho
shibidoobi: 18000 is my limit and i am 15 :(
that really sucks. and this is how they made that mosquito ringtone (the ringtone kids can hear and adults cant)
levio91: also i rarely ever listen to music or anything
paulb4uk: I am 32 i could hear 18000 on my yamaha speakers an my philips sbc hp195 headphones but using a set of creative headphones hs-600 i can hear 20000 so i would say some of it is down to your speaker or headphone limits the creatives seam to be better .
Dengler15: i can get to 21000 age 15 (i can get to 22000 but i need to raise my speakers up for that)
Ace753: Im 17 and got to 22000. The damn thing gave me a headache tho >:( It was through headphones btw
tysonxguitar: I am 15 and to my surprise I herd the 22000 Hz
DevilDingo777: im 16 and heard it all the way to 22000.....but 16000 was the most screechy one
capajoe: I could hear it all and I'm 20.
AshleyTJHanley: i got up to 20000 and now i have a rageing headache Lol
greendayrulestce: 14K on speakers (might have been too soft or it's limitations), could hear the full 22K with headphones. Had to turn it up slightly though. I am 16 years old and male (though gender really has nothing to do with it.)
greendayrulestce: Just turned it up on speakers, I could hear the full 22K, was just scared of what it would sound like, so I can hear it all, speakers and headphones.
andydrew700: that was cool, 19000 hz for me but i love that 50hz full blast sounds great thanks again jimmy
omgWTFn00b: i can hear all of them!! wow! =D thanks for this! my mum always says i'm going deaf. xP

sajikun101: i got up to 20,000! 18 yrs of age
CynicallyEnhance: 22,000hz age 17
I think that might decrease really soon though since I'm in a band.
dstrbd123: dang, 18,000hz at 16... I should probably turn down the music lol
hunterme2: 14; and i can hear all of them :)
its good to be young
crillep66: 14000 Hz and I'm only 18. Thank goodness they have made progress in hearing aids. If it's true that hearing loss accelerates after the age of 19, then I'm screwed.
boylebongo: I can hear 19000hz and 21000hz but not 20000hz or 22000hz. hm.....
homouknow: i could only hear 18000 until i blasted my volume the i could hear 21000... thanks man!
agsdad99: 19yo. All the way to 22000 Hz for me. Pity there weren't higher frequncies... all I know is it drove my dogs nuts.
Camido2003: That's strange? I can hear the all of them except the 17k...how is that possible?
YoshitsuneMinamoto: I can just barely here 22k but I didnt use headphones im also 14.
eigio: I can perfectly hear all of them, but I think that after 15kHz volume and frequency starts to decrease, so I hear lower pitch frequency. I connected headphones directly to sound card, then same thing when I conect my loud speakers, maybe it's my sound card.
joem86: All the way up to 22k and im almost 21years old!
Hackiesacker007: I'm 16 yrs old, and I can hear 19000Hz
XFLSOT: 18k 12 years, almost 13. I don't know if that is good but i listen to my ipod a lot. I hope that doesn't hurt my hearing!
XFLSOT: actually it was 19k and I couldn't hear 19k with out headphones
XFLSOT: does hearing the little clip count, or do u have to hear the ringing. If it is just the clip than I hear to 21k!
inad316: 18000 IM 21... man wtf... stupid hiphop concerts.
theshredda: i wouldnt be able to hear any frequency at all if i went to a hiphop concert because hiphop 'music' makes my ears bleed :D
Lolzerzomg: 23, I can hear 22k no problem. Time to test this out on my parents :)
Lolzerzomg: Tested this out with my sister and my dad, with the headphones on they both had problems hearing 16000, without the headphones they could hear a little higher then that.
Either my headphones arent that good (worked fine for me), or my speakers are just that much better. Im not using regular computer speakers btw, I have my stereo hooked up to my comp.
GoStupid801: 18k and im 15. ive listened to my ipod on full volume for 1 year now.
dismal20xx: 18K and 26yrs

deeson123: i can just about hear 11000Hz must see a doctor
trickmast: 18,000 although very faintly. 17,000 is very distinct in comparison.
wasserbrunner: 20,000 those were so annoying :P but cool. 17,000 sounds kinda like a tv when its turned on but no show or anything is on. most people dont hear it when i ask them if they do but to me its so annoying and loud :/

fastfreddy1949: I was 18 years old during the "summer of love 1967",meaning I went to alot of loud rock n roll concerts.
I am a carpender, and use skilsaws and other loud stuff. I can only hear the 8000 and 9000. Nothing in nature makes all those other high pitched sounds, so what good are they? I can still hear people talk and the sirens on the street. Do I really need to hear those higher pitches?
niggasoffdablock: wow im 16 and i hear the same as you
wierd
nibbler66: I can hear 21000 :D and i am 11
Compgenius999: i tried 16k and i went dizzy as if i was falling from 10000000 metres
jerommeke69: I'm not sure if what I heard was the beep or just a weird noice my computer makes. Anyway, I can hear clearly the 16 and 17K but I can't hear the low frequenties, just some noice my computer makes for less than one second.
wockly: I can hear up to 18 on a low volume, but if I turn my sound up I can hear all of them.
Ayvuir: I can hear all of them perfectly.
juju1687: I'm 20, can hear all of them. :D
awannabewriter: I have mild hearing loss due to conduction deafness caused by scar tissue on the eardrums from past infections. I have hearing aids for both ears. I am 33 years old.
My left ear tested at 13,000 and my right ear was 12,000... I actually had the stapes and incus ones replaced last year.
rockysimon2005: Something must be wrong i can hear 21 but i cant hear 20 19 or 18 and i think i cant hear 17
taurusrising: I'm 42 and can hear up to the 17000 mark
ReaperMkII: IM 18 n its the 17000 mark for me as well.
Tedwilto: i cant hear 15hz and im 16..... lol jk i heard up to like 17000-18000 ish. How high should your volume be set? because i can easily jsut crank the volume and hear them all
sticksquash: I'm only 11 and I can here 7000 k clearly and 20000k very slightly same with my friend only hes 12 :\
TehBANN3D: 2200, I've heard 2400 on another site.
duyfken: I can actually hear up to about 18k, but I can detect the full range, its sorta like how you know the TV is on with no picture, that high pitched humming sound.
SOPERFECTT: I could hear up to 16k. And could barely hear 17k i wouldn't have noticed if i wasn't listening to hard. And im 16. Now me ears hurt.. Should have taken your advice and turned my headphones down. :P
Kkrazy92: 18k thats it and im 14 lol is that bad
IceTTT: I hope you know that the most speaker/headsets doesn't play 22kHz.
outcast569: Stupid stupid lol forgot to turn the head phones down freakin painful. 21000 is where I got and im 20 though I do listen to my music LOUD and go to lots of concerts
milkteakitten: 20 and can hear only up to 17000 Hz, also didn't know you had a youtube account. Love your sites.
alviso33: 42, can hear all but 19000 and 22000, weird.
skevimc: I can hear 15k easily. I think if 16 or 17k was turned on, I could hear it or some how 'sense' that something was on. Like when you turn on the TV.
I'm 33.
taekwondoblackbelt3: 14 years old and i can hear 22000 hz 8000 hurts my ears
ShiroiSinCell: I'm 20yrs Old
I could barely Hear: 19000Hz
But I could hear 18000Hz Perfectly
This was all on my speakers & I have no idea where my headphones are. Some of those frequencies really hurt my ears. Good Job on the Program, it was fun and I learned something!
Aaron11235813: I can hear 18000 quite well, and I can just barely hear 19000. (I'm 12)
Adoreyoo: Shit, I feel bad, I can only hear up to 15k and I'm 19! No wonder I'm always saying "what". I had headphones on too...
F3DD3R: im 19 and i can here all of em even though i though i had bad hearing
gantzers: I'm 13 and the highest i can hear is 17000
spaniel53: I'm 16 and I can barely hear 19000Hz and 18000Hz is clear
pbmaster123: OW lol pain...they made me dizzy kinda..i could hear all clearly but the last 2
igatsios: i'm 14 i cant here 19000hz but 18000hz wasnt that hard at all, maybe speakers?
daltonpikerox: barely hear 19k and im 15, but i can hear the mosquito ringtone on my mobile?
wesleyroyer: I can hear at 19000 and I'm 14. I can barely hear it though. It sounds like when you turn the TV on for the first time in a day. pretty cool. definitely bookmarking this!
fingerboy18: I'm 18 and can hear 15Hz-16kHz, My VU meter didn't show any signal after 16kHz though, it may be my sound card or the decoding. I noticed your frequency amplitudes are not linear, is there a reason the signal dramatically falls as the pitch increases in your test? 15Hz was blaring and it can damage audio equipment if the speaker's excursion reaches the limit.
coolkidcoolkid1234: that is still not accurate i can al the way up to 22000hz with my logitech very great speakers but with my earphones i try to hear it but i dont hear a thing
kajusz931: lol? i can hear all highs apart from 19000 and i cant hear low ones at all! :D
pixelfox: If you don't hear higher tones you should turn up the volume a bit.
The first time I made the test I stopped at 17k. Then I turned up the volume and could hear up to 19k and barely 20k.
I am 19 and hear loud rock music with my headphone for at least an hour per day.

billsasquach: i can hear the 22000hz one
hehehe, maybe cuz im only 16 though
Ghakimx: i only her up to 17000hz but i can still feel the sounds/vibrations from the higher sounds.
ilovewhales49: i stoped at 17000,but when i turned the speakers up all the way i could hear 22000 and 21000. but they sounded really low.
benjyboba: I tested it and could hear something on all frequencies. I believe that these tests on any home system doesnt recreate the frequecy correctly due to phase information out of balance. I done a tone test on both speaker/headphones and by adjusting the volume it made the tone sound different and the score was variable.
benjyboba: sorry forgot to say im 30. The tone test i done was to compair 2 tones and say which was the highest tone. I done it late at night in dead silence on headphones/speakers and by altering the volume it alters the tone due to phase delay of frequencies in relation to each other. Thats why most music systems u cant hear the true tones.
QevilSquirrel: I'm 13 and here up to 20000, but then again one of my speakers are broken and I didn't use anything but the broken set.
QevilSquirrel: I can get up to 21000, though I can hear it barely. Mor,e I can tell the difference when I turn it off from the sound I was hearing and silence. Again, i've yet to try with speakers.
KatHH25271: I got 2100 im 12 my mom got1500 thats not good she is 38

moonstaff1234: Very interesting. I could here up to 15000 but when I raised the volume I could here up to 17000 but I got really dizzy and could barely hear it. I would have probably ignored it if I couldhear that.
mybestskills: Im 15 years old and can hear 17000 hz.
zeropeanuts: I think this is weird, I tried with both headphones and with speakers. I'm 17. I just hear 16,000 hz but then i went up, nothing.. went up nothing... then at 19,000hz and such, I can hear it again! and each one higher I can hear till the highest
greghelmer: Yikes - age 42 max 13000, no wonder my wife complains I can never hear the stuff she complains about.

fatla00: I could only hear between 800 to 18000. The next lowest one posted was 50 which I couldn't hear. On a another video posted on YouTube I was between 150-13000 so I dunno. I'm 16, by the way.

MikeMarino: I'm 20, I hear up to 19000Hz. I can hear all the low ones fine.
quezicotl: 22,000 , 19yrs old, Make sure when you test yourself not to stop just because u think u can't hear it, take a step up and then back and you will likely hear the one you couldn't a second ago. sorry if I confused someone.
EndoscopeProductions: can't hear any of the low frequencies. and i can't hear 15000 hz or higher. im 26.
Beam1980: I am 27. I could hear all of them, except maybe the 18,000 Hz, but then again my speakers do have a loud background noise. I'll try this again, as soon as I am at my bf's... He has a better soundcard...

Lexusstylie: im 26 and i can hear all of them on normal volume :S
jayredeye: couldnt hear owt after 16000. Im 26. They put these objects called mosquitos outside shops in the rough estates in the uk. They emit a high pitch noise which apparently only teenages can hear. They are supposed to deter them from gathering in gangs outside shops. This explains it lol
jamer9999: LOL IM 14 and only can hear up to 15000
and on low i can hear the 50
TechnoPete94: im 13, and i can only hear 20000hz

sabba86: im 16 >>from 20 to 17k and i play drums :P
nothankyooo: i can hear 22000 with the volume turned all the way up with my headphones. :P
diablomabbs: im 17 i can hear 20000hz however i may be an anomoly due to the fact i have been diagnosed with acute hearing at a young age =]
Sydfrukt: The highest frequency I "hear" is 17khz. However at 18khz and 19khz theres a extreme sensation of discomfort... honestly, feels like my head is going to explode. At 20 khz theres nothing at all.
techie06: I can hear everything but 15hz, but I don't think my headphones can play that low.
Gregg505: i can hear all the hieght tones but can only hear the 50hz on the low i'm 22. 0.o

BigDreamer1969: 15000hz Im 38 will be 39 in april I hope that is good
xliver4: i can hear everything, but i can just barely hear 22000 Hz
Specialpat101: im 14 and i can hear 50-19000hz
moggytutorials: Well i'm 15 and I heard all the way up to 23000Hz, but i don't believe that either because I has some spazzy speakers or my hearing is a tad messed up (I used to be semi deaf)
MarioK20: I'm 17 and was born deaf, now my hearing is at about 85% that of an average person. I could hear 50Hz-17,000Hz. I consider myself an audiophile and consider myself lucky for my ability.
anon540: The highest one was 22000, and I could hear it fine. 18
codyakajade: 14. Yet i can hear it all jus fine.
iankravitz: I'm almost 47. I can hear all of it, from 15 Hz, all the way up to 22Khz. Easily.
growingup15: awsome dude i can hear intill about 18000Hz.i tryed this on my surround sound system in my room
tuxo87: that was definitely unreliable. i heard some noise at 22khz, and i dont believe that im able to hear those frequencies.
kermitrehab2: it klicks in the speakers .. every time i press any of them .. so it's hard do know if I hear it or not .. my mind thinks it hears something :/
jimmyrcom: clicks don't count, should be annoying as hell sound
Kris01992: right, im 16 and i can hear 22000 easily
nandoanalog: I`m a drummer with some tinnitus. 21 years old. I hear 17k perfectly. But it needs to be loud for me to be able to hear above 18k. When I was 16yr I could hear 19k perfectly :(
WoWRSVids: im 13 an 17000 hz but i got a CRAPY head set for like 10$ with a crap mic
InsaneOverlord666: Im 14, and I can hear anything up to 18000hz
raininagen5: 42 I can hear up to 20,000, the frequencies higher are more of a feeling than a sound and listening to them made me feel sick and my ears hurt.
kewballl: apparently u most people cant hear anything below 20hz, which i dont understand - surely there is no lower end limit? 1hz would just be boom......booom.....booom every second so how come people cant hear that?
could u post a replay? thx
MaximumThePuppy: im 13, i can hear 18000hz and i get a vibration from the higher ones but no actual hearable sound just a vibrating/humming in my ear
srinathsridhar: I am 24 and I can hear all the frequencies
n00bje: I'm 19 (in 13 days so...) and I can hear up to 21kHz with my headphone turned all the way up. 22kHz seems like some sort of humming. However when I use my speakers all frequencies up to 13kHz sound to get higher and higher, after that all frequencies seem to sound lower and lower for some reason.
n00bje: I think I killed some cells in my ear. My ears still hurt!
abecambridge: Im 23 and can hear upto 18khz which i can just about make out. Too much drum and bass I guess.
michaelking42: Hey JimmyR, nice test, thank you. I'm 37, fly helicopters, have ridden a loud harley 30,000 miles in the last 12 months, and can hear the 50hz at the low end, and 13khz at the high end. Listened to a lot of loud heavy metal in my time...
reemou03: 16 - 20 000 properlly
however when i turn the speaker volume up i can hear them all is this cheating ?
usagismile: same here. i couldn't hear after 15000, but then i turned up the volume and heard the next three. huh?
jxreaver: 24 and i can hear all frequencies easily
BitLord: I'm 13 and i can hear 19000hz.
Tom1987mcfarlane: I am 20 and i can hear to 18000Hz
Tom1987mcfarlane: Hi i am Tom can hear up 2 18000Hz and i am 20 years of age
200twistatwista: 18Hear Every one of them.
I use ear plugs every chance I get to protect my hearing even when im mowing.
Also When I play my stereo loud as fuge.
Thewalrusofwales: I'm 14 and I couldn't hear past 16,000 Hz.
But I've had some hearing damage so it doesn't surprise me.
tydye8: Uhhh, I'm 14 and can only hear 17,000.
bcbuds: im 26 and can hear them all np
RuneMo2: 16 yrs old.
19kHz(max) very faintly.
20-22kHz I heard nothing, but my dog woke up went crazy and ran out of the house like a demon was chasing him lol(does it hurt his ears?)
secretzap: Early-forties - up to 14hz, then nothing, but I could clearly hear 19-22hz. So 15hz to 18hz is a dead zone for me. Go figure, but I was raised by a pack of wolves, so that may explain it.
FRVideos: I'm 14 turning 15 in a few months and I could here 22000hz, in other tests I could only here 13000hz so, I dunno :S
ForrestMims3: If this is true, you must have extrorninary hearing, beyond normal because the human ears can only pick up to the frequency of 19000 HZ
BayareaJay: Hi, I'm 31 And have played heavy metal guitar loud since I was 15 and I can Still hear
19000hz. Lot's better than I thought I would do!
ForrestMims3: The human ears can only pickup up to 19000 HZ
That was my results. That explains why I can hear dog wistles
vitoloycarla: well my age is 18 and i can hear up to 17000
babykt: 22000 - 24yo. although i heard every frequency, it started getting lower in volume by the time i hit 19000hz, but i still could hear up to 22kHz. also, why is it that I can hear 15Hz more clearly than 20Hz?
needlessnoodles: I found 22 to be louder (or easier on my ears) that 15 or 16. But I did hear all the sounds. On a couple of other tests I could hear at about 19 sometimes 20. On the mosquito ringtone web page I could hear them all as well. The hearing test video by Vatsek on here plays from 20hz to 22khz and I stopped hearing at 17. But that's enough for me. My head hurts.
Krimit3: my 15 and i can only hear up to 17000 is that bad
nismo180sxrs: 16 here and heard upto 18 could almost hear somthing in 19
Barrelracing2: i checked out your hearing test i can only make it to 15000 and im 15! i listen to my ipod really loud all of the time...so im thinking that part of it! lol

M4dF4rt: im 21 and i can hear all the range of frequencies
BrandonHawk21: I heard them all, wish I would have turned down the speakers at first LOL
bassfrontier: 22 years old, 20Hz (almost 15Hz but probably 16 or 17Hz) to 18K (a hint of 19K, but its probably a harmonic or something). very nice test, though I never seem to trust these since its through computers and sound cards and sometimes amplifiers that are not really 20-20.. These results are with my macbook and a pair of Sony MDR-7506's.
dukebielak: max i could hear is 18000 I'm 15. It weird playing the low frequencies, it's like rumbling.
skinnyones1122: im 13 and can onli hear up yo 15000
i dont know why
iv had about 10 ear perfarations in my life and bad ear ache as a kid...do you think thats what done it??
somebody reply thankyou
iminivisible: I'm 21 and can only hear up to 15000 Hz. Just goes to show what 5 years of clubbing every weekend and DJing does to your ears.
hellosunx3shine008: 18000 and i'm 16. i don't know if thats good or not haha
calvinyuenblinke: I'm thirteen and I can hear 20hZ and 20kHz. 20kHz hurts my ear like a bitch. I have two 10" computer subwoofers giving out around 125 decibles of bass. So am I gonna be deaf? I only listen to loud low frequencies.(30-40hz)
fottry55i6: im 13 yrs old and i can hear 22000 Hz.
ElizabethSkye: I'm fourteen, and I just barely heard the 19000.
Izakokomarixyz: I'm 90 years old and hear them all ^_^
smellpickle: i`m 44 and call 1500 my kids 18 and 16 can 19000.

TimDJ84: Suprisingly enough after all of the DJing, clubs, and loud subs I use in my car I can still barely hear at 21000 Hz.I am 24 years old and had thought I would never hear them.Wow good test.
matteoscreepy: im 17 and i only can hear up to 18,000 hz
acaradimos: im 14 i can hear up to 16000 clearly but cant isolate the 17000 and 18000 but i can tell that theyr there
ajwandmws4ever: I can BARELY hear 16000 and I am 18
unaunavez: 48 y old. can hear 16,000, but only if coming down from higher ones. if i do it the other way around, moving up, i cannot tell. cannot hear 17.000. but can feel there is something at 18.000, again, only if coming from higher ones.
rodler76: I checked out your frequency test, I could hear all of them, i did have a harder time with the 17000, but i could hear it, i could hear all of the other ones no problem, im 31
LittleMissMusic12: I'm 12 and can hear all of them
jose78fin: Hi! I'm 29 and I could only hear up to 14 Hz. Worrying...
intj16: I can hear to 21000 hz. Sadly I can't detect 2200 hz. Also to note, I'm 17 years of age.
javaman68: Very intersting...I could hear the 21,000...is it the right tone. I could not hear the 22000, or 16-20,000. I could hear 15,000only for a split second, then my tinnitus and 15,000 sounded the same. 14,000and down I could hear no problem. I know for a fact noise exposure has done some damage to my hearing. Two words of advice to anyone using this: Hearing Protection!!
mar1nes: I can only hear 14,000-15,000 HZ, Im 18
kewballl: i can only hear 15000 and i'm 16 yrs old..
All these test seem to give different results, one site says i can hear 20000 while another only 14000...
I wouldn't trust it tbh
brookeworm3: The highest I can hear is 18000hz
BFDK: I did this test with some of my school mates, i could hear 18000 Hz and they could hear around 15000 Hz, well they didnt believe me.
Some years ago my class did a real test in a physics classroom, most my classmates varried from 13 to 16 kHz, I was the only one that went above 18kHz, more precise 18437 Hz.
When you are born, you can hear up to 20 kHz, and it will then decrease from there. Which from this I dont think that this test can show the real result,
BFDK: Cause a lot of people can hear higher than 20 kHz. Still a good basic test :)
kelvinstein: I could hear all the different sounds from 15hz to 22000hz
flamefreak531: i can hear all of thee frequencies......and my dog wont stop barking when i get up to 1900...lol
pf91rodman: o shit im 15 and i can only hear 17000 is that bad?
SoupBeardMan: I've been worried lately that I might have suffered some hearing loss. The highest I can hear is 18000. It's very faint but it's there. 17000 is much more audible.
thefirenoob: I can hear all of them. And im 13 year oldddd
thefirenoob: well actually...i just skipped most of them and went to the 22000
ayame316: I can hear up to 17000 with my left ear, and only 10000 with my right ear, which i have some hearing loss in and constant ringing. I am 27.
Dynamics18: i cant hear any of the low, but i can hear every one of the high frequencies.
Dynamics18: odd i cant hear it as well in the morning
badface7: i can hear all the low pith and up to 21000 Hz in the high ptch and im 16 but that stuff makes my ears hurt
imaclanni: i'm 18 and can only hear up to 16000. dang.
rottinglotus: i'm 19 and i can barely hear 18000. as someone else stated 17000 is much more audible.
must be all of those metal concerts in highschool...
littledarkmoon: I'm 23 yrs old (24 this month). In my left year I can hear all frequencies though the higher ones I must turn the volume up to hear. In my right ear I can hear all but 18000 hz which I find to be really odd. Anyway, 50 hz sounds like the white noise of a ceiling fan and 17000 hz, to me, was the most uncomfortable frequency to listen to.
littledarkmoon: I forgot to add that the above statement applies to me only when I am using headphones. Without headphones I can only hear 8000 - 15000 Hz.
laysitroll: im 14 and can hear up to 18000 dam i suck
freedermkk: same lol. But i do play many instruments and have played at many live venues where it has been very loud, so i guess that's the reason
XpliSitt: Shit, I am worried. I was always worried that my exceptional hearing as a child was diminishing for whatever reasons, I can hear up to about 15000 and above that, I can hear 16000 - 17000 turn on or off but not as much of a steady tone, above that I basically hear nothing - is this bad?
GypsyGhost: I call hear all of them even 22Khz and I'm in my 20's. I'm just wondering if it depends on the speaker type and frequency responses.
thychosen: Im 17 and can only hear 18000Hz on my right ear only 16000Hz on my left
ChangeOfTimesx: I'm 15 and can hear up to 20000Hz. in both ears;
ChangeOfTimesx: i forgot to mention; students get issued laptops in my school and we always play high pitch sounds such as these right in front of the teacher, and they never hear it.
the younger teachers [around age 25] can hear it, as well as all the students.
but it's hilarious because we play it in front of the older teachers, and they don't hear a thing!
haha.
InHerEyes00: I'm 45 and heard all tones without headphones.
iheartnatALOT: im 13 and i can hear all of them :)
MysticAmon: I can hear 15 to 22000 I also heard 1hz some where on you tube with headphones,no sound arround me and the sound all the way up.Plus I think you need a nice sound card and headphones. Also I am 33.
Ildisast3r: wierd, I can hear up to 2100, but I can't hear the 2000 one?
jupitersmom114: I am 26
I can hear 19-22 8-11 but all the other ones I can not hear at all.
ILikeGoats: I heard all of them, but I think my speaker doesn't go up high enough, because anything above 18 sounded ... odd. And everyone could hear them, even if they couldn't hear some of the lower pitches.
kingboo54321: Im 16
i could hear up to 1900hz But i cant hear 2000hz...then i could hear 2100hz and 2200hz
NintendoGuyX: i can hear all of them besides the 16 one!??!!?

321meow: im 12, i can only get up to 1800 hz is that bad?
alexkvaskov: i'm 21 and i could hear all the high ones except 13, it went quiet and then louder again.
nichita95: i am 13
i can hear 2000 hz
alliep215: im 14 and i could hear all of them even the high pich ones above the rows...is that good?
TehGames: I could hear up to 2200HZ and I'm 14. And I always though JimmyR was 16-18, but he's 21...
