msaqib1: I've been looking for free ways to learn a language for such a long while now that I have a collection of Software..
'Rosetta Stone' [software] is very good I would recommend this to people.
There is an interface application which is about 20Mb and then there are plug-in languages which you can utilise.
There are a LOT of languages to learn..
The number of languages is quite astonishing!
msaqib1: Apparently, it was developed by the US Army for quick learning during the 1st Gulf War...
Morkburger: You have an annoying voice.
NeCiFiX: You have an annoying way of being immature.
AmarAlamdar: You are so kind , so genirous , so thoutfull , so helfull , you are so good to others , good things will come to you .

jballard: You're using Opera now? Wow...
anoriolko: hey!, great links!

z1234567890abc: Hey Jim I decided to become a subscriber to your videos. Well more so because of some thing I recall Edison once said regarding his invention of the phonograph, his major disappointment that it was being used for music and such nonsense rather than the educational purposes. He would be proud of you. Thanks for your time, sharing and caring.
xeushal: en uno de estos sitios puedo encontrar para poder mejorar mi ingles !?
jimmyrcom: si tomas los cursos de espanol. Como quiera dicen la palabra en espanol y luego en ingles

charliepace101: Thank you. It works. I know. Thanks again.
kalaway: mylanguageexchange dot com is a pretty cool site as well. Sets you up with a pen pal of the language you want to learn who wants to learn your language. Also has lessons and games. :) Thanks for the vid!

darkpetal: really helpful jimmy! me a fan of you!
PeeteyP: the Eliteskils free education stuff looks good, but have yet to try. ditto for the pod cast, but in my personal experience, podcasts seem particularly poor for language study- they speak way more English than the target language, and have no methodology. (catch the retro wave, buy a textbook with some cd's)most Youtube language vids are bad for the same reasons.
wiki books looks pretty good for Spanish and French, and bad for everything else- there's (often literally) no content.
PeeteyP: great vid- as usual, a lot of info, a lot to digest- FSI is the first recommendation with good reason- if the language you are studying is on their list of 27, you gotta get their stuff, if not, consider switching your major. I learned Cantonese with FSI materials, and consider their's the best language course I've yet to encounter.
livemocha is also a great find- I like their innovative teaching method and its easy to kill an hour or two on this site.
far3: I did the livemocha one, its awesome Im learning german. Du bist ein Mann!!!!
CadenRolland: Wow awosme! I'll be using this stuff for sure.
Now if I could only download it dirrectly into my brain.... Hope somebodies working on that : )
Thanks!
PeeteyP: some links:
youtube dot com/watch?v=ju6CwbpnS7M
this guy has some excellent German lessons. He's a real clown, but every vid teaches a lot of German, without a word of English.
audiotreasure dot com/GPS/
has the gospel of Luke in 46 languages and English, and other parts of the site have whole bibles or new testaments in many languages- not the best way to learn (unless you're a missionary or something)- but the language selection is hard to beat.
safemouse: What if you want to learn Czech? You're screwed, basically.
jimmyrcom: only 12 million of the 6 billion people in the world speak czech. Go to the Czech Republic if you want to learn it lol. Unless some native Czech - English speakers put up a website just to be nice it's not happening.
LulieGirl: Nice video, however im learning Norwegian, so none of the website helped me. :( Theres a severe lack of Norwegian resources!
jimmyrcom: again only 4.7 million people speak Norwegian of 6 billion in the world. Most learn languages sites are devoted to the most commonly spoken languages.
brak51: Jimmr
I think your videos are excellent. I've been a subscriber for a while, I always rate your video's 5 stars.. Keep making em, there are a few of us out there who appreciate it!
Later dude
Brak
sv102: You are The Best Time to suscribe to you!

Leratia: This is so handy, nice video
now i can learn much :D
s2007h: I like your video
KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK BRO
kaikosuke: Sometimes you can get Rosetta Stone for free through your county library online. Go to the site, log in with a library card, and browse the resources section. I have full access to level 1 and 2 of every language Rosetta Stone teaches online through my library.
(If you don't know, Rosetta Stone is the best language learning software, but it is also the most expensive to buy)
justmejules711: thanks for the 411!!!
I so desire to learn other languages!!!
'-)
Gravek: thanks dude, your video tutorials are cool, you're the best bro
zenjao: Hola Jimmy, acabo de suscribirme, tus videos son excelentes
gracias!!
usenetposts: This was a great video. I think also it would be good if youtube had a section for homemade language learning videos. I would be able to put the Huliganov Russian series which is on my channel into it.
MEOWmaas: That was really informative... sadly surprising that this information isn't more readily known. Thanks so very much... I'm off to learn French! :)
pongman: Thanks for the info but none of them offer you Dutch?
rlw3ninja: Thanks, this will help me a lot!
RPGonline2: OMG someone finally acknowledges/says Korean!
Lol. :)
bicksboy: wow. that is tight. i can learn (language here) at my OWN pace, WHENEVER i want. the only thing about it is that the fsi languages 1.don't have japenese (:p) and the audio tracks go too fast. mango IS the best
ladydalyleb: oh jimmy i tried to open this page but its not working
ladydalyleb: fsi oops im surprising now thanx for your atention by the way i cant do backup i brought anti virus but all the time z backup dont complete
anyway thank you and good job posting all ur movie
leojeen: FSI is a broken link jimmy!!help
oklahomaweather1: I'm learning Russian with Rosetta Stone and it's GREAT! I'm learning the language so fast. I often catch myself thinking in Russian! Rosetta Stone is not a free online course such as the ones mentioned here, but if you're serious about learning a language, I highly recommend it! The BEST language program I have EVER used! Anyways, nice vid! :)
sherekan: hey I was learning Italian with that course and it was all going so well until I lost my cd. Do you know how or where can I get there Rosetta Stone? Thanks!
pdonati1: Very helpful...Mango is a great site!
lbrtdy: i love you video turtorials, and yeah some ppl use youtube as entertainmetn, but i just likes to learn stuff, well call me a neard, but your doing a fine job!! XD thanks --14 yr old kid..
Kojow7: Cool video, thanks for the sites! I am also developing some (free/open source) language teaching software. It's still in early stages, but if you are interested check it out at sourceforge. Just do a search on nikamo.
maayongadlaw: thanks for this. maybe i can improve my english now.
RPGonline2: Jimmy:
I´m just curious, why do you like French so much?
jimmyrcom: cause the euro makes the dollar look like pesos
jimjimereeya: That's funny! - I wish I bought (converted) a lot of euros a year ago with US dollars. Maybe you could figure out how we do that and make a video. (Do we just open an account in Europe and then transfer our dollars over there?) -- Anyway, really like your videos.
Drag2hand: u dont have to make an account on a european youtube site u can go on any site but transfering dollars?
Drag2hand: euro is more than peso dollar is more the euro
jimmyrcom: fail. Euro is more than dollar.
sherekan: gracias por esta información es muy útil!!
thanks for this information is very useful!!
sayfaylo: wow...that is awesome...too bad I've already bought "How to learn Spanish" for like forty bucks...

girotube: HAH! nice man BUT! the problem is that the audio suck! I will try it anyways Thanx..
This is a problem with Chinesse.
paranhosfabiogmail: you do like French I can see...
Nikolette11: I was pretty disapointed with Livemocha, at first I thought it was going to be great but all I could do was talk to people who speak italian because they dont have italian lessons yet.
jinsuen: you are god jim, god.
I've learned so much from watching your videos.
Snookysnookims: Yes he is god. I've learned ALOT from jim. Now how to learn another language for free? ONLINE!! SO COOL! THANKS

Drag2hand: Mango is da best i already learned 2 other languages in a few days
hexagonmoose: riight, fluently? *skepticism*
Norogoth: Here is the spanish that Drag2Hand learned.
D2H: ¡Hola!
Native: ¡Hola! ¿cómo estas?
D2H: MUY BIEN!!!!
Native: Aunque existen indicios de asentamientos pertenecientes al Paleolítico inferior, Valladolid no tuvo una población estable hasta la Edad Media.
D2H: AAAHHH!!!!!
(In all due respect to Drag2Hand)
Drag2hand: i didnt take spanish i took Greek and Italian and i speak them fluently
Nikolette11: Wow, I siriously doubt you learned two other languages in a few days hahahaha
pokerworld: i learned chinese in one day! no wait, i knew chinese yesterday. and the day before. and the day before that...ha.
hexagonmoose: Interesting vid, gave it 5, but I wouldn't recommend Wikibooks, it's basically still a work in progress and VERY incomplete atm.

eduvaesq: Genial , siempre quise aprender fraces y portugues , gracias
lamboo9: cool dude how many languages do you know?
Wangtabee: I can't get the FSI site to work. I am a computer idiot, so that's not surprising.
I downloaded it, but then it said I had to download adobe reader to veiw it, so I did that then it still didn't work. What should I do?
jimmyrcom: sell your comp to someone that knows how to use it
luka55555: lol...you need to instal it lol?
valeriajep: this is so cool... thank you so much
chirandaphi: is any one knows where can i get a free toeic test online? i want to know how much scores i can make
Jem97: Thanks a lot. The Mango Language learning site was by far the one I found most helpful. I even registered myself. Thanks a ton!
MnilinM: Mango and Live Mocha both are pretty good resources, imo. I've used a few other texts here and there but i like the way these guys go about it best. Mango breaks stuff down and repeats it a lot, that's where the 100 or so slides comes in.
kingflexx: Free information for all! Good job!
mochamist21: Thank you! Now I have more resources to study from.
daasianboi: thx man now i can catch up on my japanese
VIDALVAUGHN: THANK YOU SO MUCH, VERY INFORMATIVE!
Cranbrook18: Very nice job, bro - thanks a lot!!
XanderKnight26: These links are INCREDIBLE, I have been trying to learn Spanish (curiousity) & Japanese (7 years studied, then dropped off with it)......thanks!!!!!!!!!
ronineditor: LiveMocha is easily the best options of these listed... it lets you learn every possible way, not just "listen and remember." Plus, it's a community kind of like Myspace, and you can IM people and speak the language... the IM feature also has a "translate" button, if you get stuck.
I'm telling you all, I've paid for numerous courses, CDs, etc., and this is BY FAR the best - and IT'S FREE!!! haha
gamm05: Todas parecen muy buenas formas para aprender otro idioma, una pregunta ¿cuantos idiomas hablas tú? aparte de español e inglés :)
FFxZanarkand: Hey did you learn your Spanish + French online or at school? xD
DrewJ16: 3? I only see 2: Chinese and Cantonese. Cantonese is one of many dialects in China. In the website "Chinese" is defined as Mandarin, the official language of China. Ironically, most of Cantonese speakers comprise is US, HK and a small quadrant of China.
2dumb2care: i took a second look at the video and it has 4 on his. ¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿ WHY?
equn: Great explainations! And thank you for your clear English, I can understand every every word you say.
I am extremely interested in learning languages. Rate Awesome & add in favourites.
anandaflima: Thanks for the great tips! Very useful.
pintor78: Thanks for your advice on the FSI language courses theyre absolutely excellent.
pandake150: indeed no dutch on most sites :(
but that's probably because most people don't even know Dutch exsist lolz
and ooh by the way, watching shows in another language will help you learn it.
Here in Belgium we learn at least 3 languages at school (Dutch, French & English)
and most kids already know some English before we even get the fist lesson, reason: we hear English on the telly all the time :p
Better then those movies where you hear a voice when the lips don't move O.o
crazzioveru23: belgium!
what a wonderful place.
i'm gonna visit there some day.
:D
crazzioveru23: belgium!

wildboymk: go to exploringmacedonia com to lirn macedonian or to see the macedonian beauty (history & culture monuments) or natural beauty. Xou can see the Kokino observatory old 5000years found in 2001 by NASA. Ohrid lake is protected by UNESCO because it have organisms who are died in pre-history in other places (endems). Good luck in Alexander the Great`s country!
RudeBoyStudioHaters: I learned German from "trymango(.)com" and I say its PERFECT!! I learned fast! and I can write and speak German and actually hold up a conversation in German. use TryMango its good.

Egal, hoffe du hast recht, will naemlich Franzoesisch lernen und hab bisher keine vernuenftigen gratis online Kurse gefunden...
Wie lange hast du gebraucht, um Deutsch zu lernen und wie sieht es mit Vorkenntnissen aus?
Keep it up...
Lol
p0LLuTiOn: Quite frankly...Even if I use a lot of imagination it's pretty hard to understand what you are trying to say. But that's alright since german is a pretty difficult language I guess you're doing ok and I give you props for learning it...I would never be able to learn this language if it wasn't my mother tongue...
Thumbs up :-)
RudeBoyStudioHaters: Whoa! Thanks man. I'm still learning, I kinna suck, but I will hopefully be good to write it as good as you. lol thanks again :)

SoulTomato: You rule!!! In any language...
DiscoAza: If you really want to learn a language, quickly and effectively, your best choice is with Rosetta Stone. Sure it is more expensive, but you can't beat the quality. And anyways, there is a 6 month money back guarantee.
WhatNameShouldITake: Thank you, this will help me a lot :)!!
chikanenaneng18: omg!!! i love the mangolanguages its the best!!! love it!!! all of ittttttt!!!!! thanks!!
camera155: Great video. Thank you very much. This was very useful.
redneck641: This is very interesting, I'll try to use these web-tools this sumer and learn as much as I can. Unfortunately, even though this gives me a certain point of view towards language, the real language lab is experiencing your self the same language in the region that that particular language is. So all I can say is that this aids you to a certain point, the rest is up to us in learning the language by communicating with the same native speakers in their own turf.
...No olviden aprender Español.
xyllver: thanks! the video is very helpful. =)
DoomedDiceThrower: Awesome. That is helpful, generous, and very very nice from you. OF COURSE you get 5. Best wishes to you!

xxender: im pretty sure mango charges money now, it was free when they were in beta and now you need to pay a subscription if I remember correctly. :S, it is really good though, pretty much almost the exact lessons from the foreign language lab at my school
leviatanwhiteangel: Very good explanation about the sites features. im sure it's gonna be useful t me!!!

oracle2world: The only way to learn a foreign language is by immersion, period. Find a foreign internet radio station, a dictionary site, a tabloid rag to read, and start immersing.
You need to hear the variance of different native speakers, and the frequency of words (probability that one word follows another).
We don't write how we speak, and you will never be expected to translate other than into your native language.
soccerfan2001: lol thank you man!! you are great. good info. and you are really good at speaking lol thank you!!
zachypwns: LAME!!!
all you have to do is not be a dumbass and torrent rosetta stone.
