rayoline: when it's done cleaning up in the end a box pops up and it says if i download the real version instead of the demo i would have deleted so so many files (which is the files it says it just cleaned). did it clean it or not?

because i really want to clean EVERYTHING on my computer but since i have a virus i dont think i can...plus i dont have a recovery disc.
jimmyrcom: cleanup doesnt have a magic antivirus. download antivir, clamav, spybot search and destroy, and adaware, then edit your startup / non microsoft services with start - run - msconfig

treesize has been doing this for about 10 years now. It does it WITHOUT running in the background like your stupid "Folder Size for Windows" does. No one needs crap like that constantly running in the background consuming resources to update every time you download another megabyte.
jimmyrcom: hadn't heard of it but sounds like the same. Folder size isn't at all heavy on resources and only starts scanning when you have it enabled / when you open a folder. Caching takes away the point and it's easy to just uncheck =P.

jimmyrcom: I like a program called perfect disk for defragmenting because it has a smart placement that actually orders the fragments by use and you can run it in the background while you're using your comp. I don't think I have much to say about defragementing though. I don't like the default one in windows.

Gylipther: Nice video dude. But, I would add one more useful app. It's called WinDirStat. It visually shoves you your files by colored rectangles... The bigger the rectangle - the bigger the file. And every extension has its own color.

SQaudiophile: When you cleanup your recycle bin the files get pushed towards the end of the hard drive and not really "deleted" right? how do you clean those files so that your drive can't be "un-deleted"?
