Comments:

Tophillious: Thanks for another good video.

TravisZeckert: Thanks, this will probably help me when I get into college.

robotsuit: There is also MIT opencourseware. I revise most of my mathematics with their videos. Unfortunately they dont have videos for all the courses, sometimes neighter handouts, but it is for free so I am not complaining.

jimmyrcom: they do have video tutorial for mit ocw, click the "More Free Education" link for all participating universities.

kardon: hey jimmy.. thanks for sharing.. great space for me to learn computer courses there.. love ya!

Tophillious: Wtf? 10 comments and im the only one that voted?? Come on people

TehRussians: I watched several of them b4 but thx for organizing them

comingoutnick: that is awesome...just wish they had more courses in History

VeNeM999: or you can just download real alternative, and use media player classic.

jimmyrcom: it's mentioned in the readme. It can't play streams from m3u playlists so it's not useful for what I've made.

jimmyrcom: I've made new playlists for real alternative if you want to use it, check the description.

holylampposts: Pretty Awesome! Thanks! I took a year off of math, so this should help me remember everything to prepare for Calculus this year.

Delicieux240: Can you speak any other languages?

LANshark: There is a typo in berkeley webcast site link.

webcast(dot)berkeley(dot)edu

*not*

webcasts(dot)berkeley(dot)com

digitalkila: THANKS ALLOT MAN!!!! JUST GOT REAL PLAYER GOING "10.5 gold" :D *Completely legal of course ;)*

ZealousApollo: I've watched them on Media Player Classic, so that's I think that's another option for people who don't like Realplayer.

jimmyrcom: real alternative doesn't work with the playlists

jimmyrcom: I've made new playlists for real alternative if you want to use it, check the description.

SonomaDave1: What do you mean, right click??? (Old mac guy)

ZealousApollo: On a mac holding control and clicking is the equivalent to right clicking.

tovasdad: now that's friggin cool thanks

oldhippie100: thanks jimmy, this is very informative

theOGgerddman: :] jimmyr seriously you are my hero! really!

bloodmoney: men, you rock.

thanks!!!

eladbari: DUDE - U ROCK!

BUT i wont use it

Cause REAL PLAYER has Security Issues.
it has been found to put your PC in a vulnerable state. so ...its too bad...

jimmyrcom: I don't blame you. I don't think it has security issues but it is bulky and kinda annoying.

mubaris: . thanks a lot. as usual great tutorial

PolyrhythmIndustries: This was one of the best tutorials so far. Since I found your jimmyr site, I've been using the Berkeley webcasts. Thanks for streamlining the process!

warrioramin: lol..when you right click a file..you get so many options.
dude..you must have 1 crazy pc to be able to store all these Programs!

Isramirez20: Thank you man.

mikemessedup: Thanks Jimmy. So glad you didn't leave. You provide a great service here. Just wanted you to know it is very much appreciated :D

funmap: you can use real player alternative, too. it's freeware.

jimmyrcom: real alternative doesn't work with the playlists

jimmyrcom: I've made new playlists for real alternative if you want to use it, check the description.

pongman: Thank you, didn't know they had video

mezaan: Also try courses from MIT

o c w . m i t . e d u

jimmyrcom: see the link in the description for a full list "More Free Education"

mezaan: my bad..jumped the gun..this page is great...it lists all the links finally..

represent601: This would be a lot cooler if it wasn't for the fact that you have to use Real Player and Winzip, I hate them both. Great Idea though, Jimmy!

jimmyrcom: 7-zip is free. Winrar is actually not bad at all. I never mentioned winzip.

represent601: They are all the same to me, I try to avoid them, they make me mad when accidentally download a torrent that is either a BIN or it needs to be extracted and stuff... im just not able to figure out how to but the items together instead of watching them clip by clip... and BIN's just kinda suck

jimmyrcom: bins are fine, just mount them. usually torrents use divided rars. 7zip rocks.

vernong1992: awesomeness too bad it requires realplayer..

jimmyrcom: real alternative works on the berkeley webcasts site but not for the playlists I made.

12her12: sweeet! thx!
is there any possibility to record those vids.

jimmyrcom: the new real player allows recording streams I think. The beta didn't work for me though.

mitdylan: Hey Jimmy,
wheres the AWESOME Intro.
nice video.
this will help in a few years

ApocalypseKurtz: Jimmy u da man. Keepin it real on youtube. The virtual world owes you.

insanepanda: holy crap, this is gonna help out alot!!

I'm so glad you didn't leave!

Tophillious: Here's a useful refined google search.

code(dot)google(dot)com / edu / curriculumsearch /

TomWarrior: Let me guess! At one point of time you went to Berkeley for higher learning?

MrRay47: Thanks. ("Mahalo" in Hawaiian) Free is good and your add-ons will make things easy if I decide to do more than browse. Aloha :)

eddeathonation: thank you so much jimmy! all your videos have been so helpful!

nototheratrace: learn and enter the rat race??? let me show you how to get out of it and live the life of your dreams.

HeadDominion: Very handy BUT people have trouble going to their own lectures......how much more will they lack initiative to listen to something they are not enroled in?? And if they were interested then the would probably enrol anyway. Nevertheless You may affect 1-3 people significantly (due to education factor) in this video so I'm glad you made it.

PLUS, how is your feature any different from searching the Berkley site anyway? peace.

jimmyrcom: I click ctrl+space. I select a subject... and viola, I get to be inside the classroom of the #1 rated public university in the US. You don't have to drive to school, get homework or take tests. Everyone can take a psychology or nutrition course with little knowledge anyway. I'm proof that people like computer tutorials, so why not from a university professor.

RealPopo: i had RealPlayer built in my linux :)

jimmyrcom: linux has it's own version called helix or something.

TheJeff283: Sweet stuff Jimmy. It's people like you that make the internet awesome. Keep on rockin'.

AllUrUtubeRbelong2me: You are the best man. I totally dig your informative and educational style. Keep up the great work. Thanks for sharing your insights. And most importantly, DON'T DELETE YOUR VIDEOS OR ACCOUNT!!!

TigerSoldier: What was the program I saw in one of your videos that actually allows you to download Sheet music from a P2P network (I think)? It's not the how to convert .midi files, it's another video with a bunch of of programs in it I'm pretty sure. If you could send me a message with the name of the program or even the name of the video that would be awesome =).

Keep up the great work.

stryder717: that is so awesome. keep up the good work jimmy.

Ramza686: I'm incredibly glad you decided to keep making videos on Youtube. Really helpful!

romaniaforever: Very cool. You have no idea how helpful this has been for some homeless people I know!

jimmyrcom: O_o homeless people have internet access?

SixthTech: i never knew you type things like O_o
haha

supadupakupatrupa: yea. Anybody can enter a local library and get an hour or two of free internet access at a time.

jimmyrcom: I think they meant home schooled.

romaniaforever: Yes, they do, actually. We host some families in churches and other places when the shelter is full and they have internet access in the libraries there and in public libraries. Believe it or not, some public libraries will actually get to YouTube and the church library computers definitely do. I wasn't joking around, honest!

cityofsp: Jimmy, once again, I have learned so much from your video, so I just wanted let you know that I appreciate all that you do. Thanks!!!

roccigiovanniberrini: o thats sweet besides staring @ random peoples vids i can learn i'll learn 2morrow
RgB

aqua614: Thanks very much jimmy. If I'm not mistaken M.I.T. offers the same type of online course stuff on they're site too. I didn't know Berkeley did it though. Thanks again! Please keep those videos comin. :-)

jimmyrcom: click the link under "More Free Education" in the description for a full list.

spikerkid: It's summer for a reason ;). Good video though, when i'm bored i'll check this.

Allpaca: Sweet, now I can go to the college I have no chance of getting into! Hah, thanks Jimmy, much obliged for the list.

MrJunoBeach: Thank you very much for your contribution. You now deserve to be referred to as the distinguished Professor Jimmy.

JaydeeVonJ: Wow this is cool. Not many for psych are there? Oh well

romaniaforever: That last comment of mine was in reply to someone being amazed that homeless people have access to computers. Many can network like crazy and are resourceful.

romaniaforever: P.S. I am SO glad you are still on MySpace.

romaniaforever: Oops, I mean YouTube. Ooooooooops!

jbi: jimmy darling can you show us your handsome face and not just hear your voice???i wanna see this genius guy the brains behind all this tutorials

RealPopo: he has a picture of himself on a secret site.

unfortunetly, i have it i saw his awesome face.

jbi: whats the secret site gimme the link hehe i google image jimmy ruska i guess it must be him,,he is not handsome

aquapoet1: you are all stalkers! j/k lol.

jbi: no no im not a stalker i just wanna see his face thats all :P
but he as a great voice

cjet79: Thanks jimmy...now i can learn econ. without getting off my lazy ass.

Undertaker8503: Jimmy you are the man with the best Video Tutorials keep up the great work!!

TechKat: yaaayyy, it's learning time!

Actually, this is incredibly convenient. Glad I found you + subscribed.

webpainter: Great work Jimmyr. Just found another way to spend some more time in front of the screen ...

llewxamsoulsephiroth: yeah i am spending some time going through your tuts and they're great, all of 'em. also jimmy now has 5000+ subscribers so i bet the people who used his tuts but never subscribed, did, because they want him to stay, well done jimmy :D

cwizard13: Wow jimmy that was quite the mountain of knowledge :) Thanks for putting all that effort into it. My girlfriend really likes the programming tuts. Thanks again!

jbi: jimmy do u mind doing the tutorial video speaking in other language?u only speak english, american boy?what about other youtubers from around the world who is not fluent in english

mattvang13: Hahaha now i can say I've been to UC Bererkley! lol thanks Jimmy!

Bk187O: Jimmy...how do you find these things?

This is awesome.

jimmyrcom: by watching my video tutorials

Bk187O: Yes Sir. I'll go watch some more. =)

RollingThunderHorse: I can't wait to check it out. Thanks for posting all of the cool stuff that you do.

TitanIsBack: Thanks again Jimmy Ruska (I hope i spelled your last name right)

eyeofmark: Thanks for the video Jimmy, you are doing a good service for people on youtube. Keep up the good work. ;)

clearevil: Thanks a lot, I can't believe a lot of people will no try this just because of the "no credit thing." education is priceless I say!

thanks for all you videos jimmy, you do realize that me watching you tutorial videos is the same as me watching one of the lectures in the Berkeley site. I learn a lot either way :D

KalinoX: Underlined ?

lamaz1928: nice post :D you should make a tut on how to make a signature. or how to make that totaly kwl thing at the beginning of all of your videos :D that'd b kwl to know

dudebromanbra: o.k. for some reason that link isn't working for me.

jimmyrcom: use the rar link in the description

SilverSunshine: ahaha our chem1a course for spring is up on there too =)god i hated that class

chalklett: Very good video and classes, thanks for posting.

xpistolwhipx: Hey Jimmy nice to know your back up on the Video tutorials =)

pers4321: Thank you for another great guide~ Great to see you back !

KevinDanielAllen: Can I use Real Player Alternative to do this?

Tophillious: Read the other posts about Real Player Alt.

jimmyrcom: Unfortunately it won't read the streams on the playlists I made, but it will play the videos off berkeleys website directly. You won't need the archive I made.

foxbrand80: no unfortunately you can't, he said this in one of his early replies..if you go to oldest commnets you can see where he says it..

jimmyrcom: I've made new playlists for real alternative if you want to use it, check the description.

honeylips65: Glad to see your've come out of retirement. You were missed.

foxbrand80: thanks for the good information you give to everyone!

Singul4r1ty: merci beaucoup! Like the bat file, nice, simple and fast !

oticram: Thanks berkeley, Thanks Jimmyr

raulbot: this is great, time well spent jimmy.

insanepanda: i think i posted before, but holy shit dude

I totally forgot about the now playing window! I thought there were only 2 econ vids, but there's actually 28!!

Damnnnnn, you just saved me a shitload of time and money.

(already subscribed =])

KEEP IT UP!!!!!!

jimmyrcom: Thanks. Yeah the files are playlists, meaning they're a list of courses. Without the playlist opened it kinda takes away the point of the playlist files. There's also video effects you can add like adding brightness and sharpening the image on real player. The introduction is usually the most boring part and doesn't teach anything, but does give you the class website for homework and worksheets.

maxpaindude: wow jimmy this is great! thx alot! my teenage girlfriend wants to have babies with me now!

Isramirez20:

Thanks again Jimmy.

Fortle53: go jimmy go! now i can learn some engineering

Kingaxel1:
cool i'm not sure when i'll ever use it, but still if i ever need something like that i know what to do

JigglesJingle: Dear Jimmy R, I was wondering if Surfing firefox, if I should use different Proxys instead of mine to secure my privacy? do you use anything to hide yours?

JigglesJingle: what program/ firewall do you suggest to hide my privacy when using firefox?

jimmyrcom: from who? the nsa, riaa, your parents, or from hackers?

jimmyrcom: I like sygate? what do you mean by leechers? lol you want to download the file and you don't want to share? that's leeching.

jimmyrcom: comodo's firewall isn't bad either.

wc7vdaner: If u see this, can u possibly show us how to test one's password to see if it is truely secure? Not to hack but to see if we need to change our password because it's to easy to hack into.

jimmyrcom: use random letters and numbers and your fine. as long as it isn't just a word or word-date then you're fine. 6 characters or more, mixed.

roytje66: Hello,
Jimmy i was wondering, how can i open the .bin file for the Real Player Gold?
Thanks in advanced, By the way, ur tutorials rock :-)

~Roy

jimmyrcom: you just downloaded the mac version. download the windows version

roytje66: Okay thanks Jimmy :-) i feel real stupid cuz i downloaded the mac version :P

b33p: Hey man, great video. Good work overall, we appreciate it. Good to know some people on YT are promoting education and in an innovative way. Keep it up.

jack2452: help me PLZ. how do you remove hosts thing from my computer?. you know the add blocking thing because it blocked me from other web page. help me help me help me help me PLZ reply to me

jimmyrcom: read the comments on the hosts video and you wouldn't have had to post here.

jack2452: i did a long time ago and it did not help me. i did go to wikipedia hosts file but it did not help me. what name is it under.i don't know computer that well.PLZ reply to me

jack2452: i found something called "hostname" is that it???

jack2452: ok it's working. all i can say is now is that i know something new.

oeyeballs: hey jimmy, this has nothing to do with this video but, i just got opera and i was wondering if i should replace firefox with it.

mohdhm: i love that guy.. i should have found this last year

oeyeballs: were you using a opera browser, or the firefox skins?

TheJeff283: Wow... Over 6,000 subscribers. Congrats Jimmy.

jack2452: what do you use to play a "rar" video. i found it on mininova.

org/det/839597

Kneesoxrock: In refrence to your "Download Videos" video:
Almost every time I go to download a video it gets "stuck" mid-download. I have to re-try, and re-try for a long time, if not indefinately, to get the video to download. Any suggestions on what to do to fix this?

jimmyrcom: call your isp and ask them to check for downstream errors. use something like flashget or wget that have the option to continue download.

mohdhm: some lectures were amusing, but it was hard to find stuff i really wanted... I mean.. physics for future presidents... what kind of a joke class is that. "will we need to know some equations?" rofl

jimmyrcom: There are like 155 courses. I don't know what you're talking about. The first course is always introduction.

mohdhm: ok, if you open all 3 "introductory courses" you will realize that the course is actually 'physics for future presidents.'(in other words, they are labeled wrong) So in a sense, there are no real physics courses. and there are no math courses either (calculus or linear algebra). Rich in biology and chemistry, and computer/computer-science. That is what most of the 155 courses consist of.

groundstrike: dude getting something for free itself is a big thing. if you really want to see equations, you should have gone to school, idiot.

mohdhm: err excuse me, supposed to say "wrongly labeled."

Mumum2: Thanks so much man. I'm only 14 but I'll plan to prepare ahead with this. Thank you very much.

groundstrike: Jimmy, thanks very much for sharing this. i was searching for like lecture webcasts in youtube. thanks dude..

rubysp: THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SHARING!!! -this might be stupid but- the file i've downloaded and extracted is different than the one on your screen. nothing big but just minor changes. now when i double click eg. math nothing happens instead prompted to type the no. and when i chose the file to play and entered the no. there was an error. sorry but i'm not really computer efficient

jimmyrcom: You need real player or media player classic installed. Read the readme file...

pleabargainer: Very cool stuff man! Thanks a bunch!

nimop: thx a lot for that site.
Definetly gonna check some of the courses out.
Have also seen some of your other vids.
Keep the good work up!

nm353130: Now I can find out if I would want to minor in bio or not.. Thank you Jimmy! You're the best!

DavidBeckhamDB7: you don't NEED real player, use real alternative instead. its better

jimmyrcom: bah, read the video description, real alternative playlists are also provided

harmwon: Hey bro just wanted to thank you for posting this video on free University Courses i have been searching for something like this for ages, Also would really appreciate it if you could let me know about sites similar to this eg documentary. Thanks and keep up the great work! Joel, Auckland New Zealand.

carpediem7007: This really is a great service. The only thing that I find a little frustrating is that the majority of the classes are science and math related. Given the fact that Berkeley is a liberal arts school, I was wondering why there aren't more English, Philosophy and History classes. Could you add some. Thanks for all that you have already done. ; 0 )

thewelshninja: hmmmm...sounds good to me... wonder what i'll study

kgardezi: Thanks for this great help. i was searching for all this stuff.

ucariadam: Thanks man!!! You r amazing!!
I appreciate your contributions.

wishmaster14: can you help me, the website doesnt work when i type it in neither does the berkeley one work

racqua11: Thank you very much. Is a great site. a lot of knowledge...

jasnowitzki: thanks (from turkey middle east technical university)

NoMoChacha: JUst what I'm looking for

jxhyao: Good guy, you will be blessed for sure.

SAVANTE67: thanks for the info it really helped

MBRHIndustries: Thats pretty cool. Even if you don't get the credits you can still get the education.

sweetbutnotinnocent: for some reason the file won't extract, could someone plz tell me what am I doing wrong?

LiquidChem: oooh man, i get really nervous when people want us to open bat files, yikes! Ill go to the site and check the courses, not that Im saying youre a scammer or hacker, but thats the first thing that came to mind was yikes! Thanks for the info! Knowledge is the only power in this world, the only way to progress humanity.. (you know the opposite of what Bush does) lol

Rozza228: Thanks a heap man, it still confuses me a bit but i am getting there
