The tutorial to end all tutorials. This is every trick I could think of from every firefox video I've made so far with a lot of details and explanations.

Comments:

eduardoc: Hey Jimmy, you were on teh podcast Buzz out loud from CNET yesterday!

blackheart32006: For some reason the back key stopped working after I upgraded firefox, but alt-right_arrow and alt-left_arrow are easier to remember anyways though a bit out of the way compared to the backspace. Also, closed tabs is saved in history, at least for the seasson, but is out of the way. Great vid!!

Dainnho: Good job jimmy.. but can u make a FULL TUTORIAL Abaout how to download and play games? :/

jussumone: Great - thanks for the tips. I just started using Firefox to replace Avant Browser which crashed on me all the time and used lots of CPU . Firefox has been much better - loads faster and uses less cpu than Avant. And it remembers the multiple tabs with an option built in so I haven't needed the tab mix addon but I will try it anyway . I look forward to part 2 !

jimmyrcom: I had used avast when it came out back in 2003. Made a skin for it called the elite skin. It was a good browser back then compared to IE lol

ltsAboutJesus: very detailed. Good job. Yeah Ive been using Firefox and add-ons for a while. Its good to get things customized. I still use explorer 7 too though.

ltsAboutJesus: I like the black Japanese theme. 5 stars Jimmy.

connerthomas: I Got Rid Of The Menu Called Menu Using Chrome Hack

jimmyrcom: just get rid of all of the menu items using the userchrome hack and delete the tiny menu extention. No reason to use it if you use the userchrome hack

BeechSundowner: Good tutorial. Thanks for sharing.

sh3l1: you don't need tab mix plus to recover lost tabs. just do history ->> recently closed tab

jimmyrcom: tab mix plus remembers the history and scroll of the closed tab also.

animalgrabber: This tutorial is incredible. Thank you! I will be implementing the shown addons and customization immediately.

Also, I'm just curious. Does your video capture program follow your cursor automatically? It's pretty cool.

chozo01: Opera can do most of the things you stated. You can easily remove/add toolbars and buttons to toolbars, change skins, and the like. Opera already opens new window requests in a new tab (including from the desktop like you show). Unread tabs are simply bolded by default in Opera.

chozo01: Can't have multiple rows of tabs (I think), but why would you want that? It can close all tabs except for the active one, which you seem to be having trouble with. Opera has the "trash can" which holds all your closed tabs and blocked pop-ups. Mouse gestures are a built-in to Opera innovation.

chozo01: Session restore is also an Opera innovation, and is done better than Firefox because it does much more by default. Opera has the functionality to select starting with your home page, blank page, or last tabs open built in, same applies for opening a new tab. And it does remember from last time by default. The keyword function is also an Opera innovation, and it has many built-in, including google, yahoo, ebay, and more.

pacman7654: Hey Jimmy,
I really appreciate all your work on the Internet. You can open links in new tabs using the scroller button on your scroller mouse, if you have one.

supadupakupatrupa: If you go to customize toolbar, you can check the 'use small icons' box bellow to have the forward, reload, etc. icons smaller with also a slightly smaller navigation bar for even more window space.

pacman24740: You really don't need to install tabs mic plus because you can just go to tools, options, tab, and click the button that says that a new page should be opened in a tab.

notatestuser: Yeah, exactly.

Cool vid though.

brfizle: not to knock firefox or anything, but if you download opera all the stuff he's doing comes automatically.

Zomggiggity: LOL, Opera, what a peace of shit, it takes 90% cpu, what an idiot get outta here opera sucks

Betrion: it does if you use like an old 500mhz processor lol. Opera is very fast.

ousman: if u download the latest internet explorer, you can have each tab open in the same way u demonstrated

ToxicNoodle: Yeah Ousman, but internet explorer is so bad it's not even funny

Bobertoq: I like personal menu better then tiny menu

Bobertoq: Wow! That is amazing I didn't know you could do all that with Tab Mix Plus. But you can restore all tabs when opening firefox even without TMP. Very nice 5 stars.

anthonyo99: I know this is a little unrelated, but how do you get firefox to automatically run downloaded files instead of saving it?

kg20008: hey jimmy thanks for making this video. i used to have a dsl connection that was going around 100kb/s (max is 768kb/s. Now thanks to u it is going 745kb/s.

thank you so much!!

TheIshter: That's why I like Firefox. =D

Thanks Jimmy.

BevCartoons: thanks sooo much, but it always says safe mode has disabled your add ons, y?

websiteguru: i thought you channel was cool stop over and view mine. if you wouldn`t mind subscribing to my channel i do the same and subscribe to yours.

R50086254

2112deuce: probably a stupid question, but can i use firefox under my own "profile" in xp, while the rest of my family uses ie7?

felix290492: yeah once you install it, copy and paste the mozilla firefox folder in the program files folder to your desktop or my documents or wherever your family cannot get to it. Then you can uninstall firefox from your program files

corebore13: i installed over 45 extentions...is that bad...

thewindowshackster: all u have to do is click f11 its the same thing

coolmutant: this is an amazing vid. This looks sooo much better than my old IE. Thanks

Thargh: I cant get the themes to work...
I dont get the same 3 panels.
Ive tried putting it in the map and pressing install doesn't work...

Thargh: its all cool but i cant assign a keyword to Wikipedia :(

nagaslrac: "Forward, I can't remember..." lol
You're very helpful & interesting. I love your tutorials.
Keep up the great work.
Thanks.

holla369: how do you move the tiny menu around

yotubevid: I GOT FIREFOX Cuz of this vid!

leodime: Welcome to the fray. You'll be alot happier here.

FeedMEBabies: Alt+ Left, go back, Alt+right = forward, F5 is refresh, Esc is cancel load, and the "Home" key, above the arrow keys somewhere. Ctrl+B is bookmarks, Ctrl+N opens a new WINDOW, Ctrl+T opens new Tab, Ctrl+W Closes tab. Those are a few useful tabs.

ambucias: wow i was sure i know so much but finally, haha, i was nothing, i've learn so much in this video thx again!!

11hani11: firefox rules .. this video made me love it even more haha

ZliZlayaZlo: wherever I am, ff makes me feel like I'm home! :D

mani544: Hi jimmy How many mb do u have on ut
PC?

clc786: Hello, How are you?
I just want to know like what settings you use for the video?
I think that you use camtasia studio 5 !!
So would you please tell me what settings or just make a video!
Thanks

TehGames: Nice tutorial. I've done everything you said in the video, except the theme. But I still have 2 extra rows of nothing. I've tried clicking customize and dragging the rows back. But it wont let me.

Plus, when I load a new page or open up a new tab or start up FireFox, the page jumps up and down like 4 times. Really annoying! Please help.

TehGames: Nvm, I fixed it. And the jumping stopped after I took out the extra rows. =)

AdrenalSurge: Excellent, keep up the good work Jimmy!

banshique: than you very much. I've learned a lot here.

Pnoy619: very useful. but slow it down a bit.

Should I keep or delete my existing Internet Explorer, when i decide to switch to firefox?

PhantomStrings: Keep Internet Explorer, specific addons make FireFox crash once in a while.

shazarava1: And if firefox stops working from a virus or something (you never know) you have a backup browser.

calrogman: You can use "Help Topics" in any program (MSPaint, Calculator, Notepad)that has a Help button, just right click on the window bar up top and click "Jump to URL...".

PhantomStrings: Yeah, Microsoft made it an InTernet Browser. BUT the thing is, the browser IS Internet Explorer, just in a program.

calrogman: In FF3:
Alt-Left : Back
Alt-Right : Forward
Alt-Home : Home
Esc : Stop
F5 : Refresh
